Love the upcycling ideas! and they have the orginal Barbapapa books!
I wish I stil had mine. The old stories are way better than the ones in the new versions.
I even remember that page you have in the photograph!e
about the dare bit well...i think i would totally go for it and trek for a chunk of time in the mountains. recently i've been on a mini ( BIG for me) trip in the swiss alps walking up to about 2000 m. while climbing up the face of this alp i started thinking about nomadic people of our world who live or lived in the high altitudes. living in such harsh and majestic environment must narrow down a person's or a family's activity to that which sustains life in such a surrounding. thereby connecting the person or family with nature in a most complete or reciprocal sense. this thought plus the whole sensation of being literally away from all the hustle and bustle totally inspired me to trek again and further. And for longer next time. it's meditative somehow. the quietness is incomparable. hummm....
My boyfriend and I jumped up from our desks and walked without hesitation out of this apartment and to the park which is located a half a block down the road from here. There were a pair of donkeys, a pair of swans, a group of women sitting together in the sunshine, and plenty of smiling dogs. It was just a quick outing in the sunshine on a Autumn day. This made us happy!
Was thinking of you Shabnam when we were looking at the Barbapapas and the table and other things. great minds...
